Wojna to piekło. Wojnę po raz pierwszy w życiu poczułem tak blisko. Całe porażające zło, które ze sobą niesie. Chciałem o tych przeżyciach opowiedzieć, wyrzucić z siebie, uleczyć się. Pokazać całą złożoność tego dramatycznego zjawiska, od osobistego strachu, niepewności, tarzania się w krwi i błocie, po całą medialną chmurę wojnę otaczającą. Jej kulturowe znaczenie. Wojna transmitowana na żywo, na monitorkach ludzi w autobusach, wojna widziana oczami mieszkańców, uciekinierów, walczących. Cała paleta emocji, od nadziei, przez zwątpienie, rodzącą się nienawiść, po rezygnację i ciągły, ciągły strach. Wojna to trauma. Trauma, której wystarczy dla każdego.

War is hell. For the first time in my life I felt so close to war. All the shocking evil that comes with it. I wanted to talk about this experience, to get out of myself, to heal. To show the whole complexity of this dramatic phenomenon, from personal fear, uncertainty, rolling in blood and mud, to the whole media cloud that surrounds war. Its cultural significance. The war broadcast live, on the monitors of people in buses, the war seen through the eyes of the inhabitants, the refugees, the combatants. The whole range of emotions, from hope, to doubt, to emerging hatred, to resignation, to constant, constant fear. War is a trauma. A trauma that is enough for everyone (Traumy wystarczy dla każdego).
